God's Gift To The Night, The Harvest Moon

I have been watching the moon for the last few nights, its been so bright. I was on the patio just after midnight and thought I would try and get a few shots of it. I wish I had a telescope but my camera will have to do.

The Harvest Moon.

Thank you lord for the light you give us by day and by night.
Above all, we thank you for your son Jesus who is the light of the world.

Rejection, Makes you sad does it not?

Above photo is of our blooming Maple tree. With the sun peeping around the
trunk, it reminds me of God and he is watching us.

If one member of your family laid down his life for another, paid the ultimate sacrifice, then you (being the one that was saved) just simply walked away and never looked back, you never gave that person or the person's family another thought... how do you think that family feels?

I wonder how God feels when we reject his son Jesus...AND...how Jesus feels? Jesus went through so much pain throughout his life and died for us and many never give him the first or second thought.

If you believe; do you believe in Jesus because he is your ticket to miss hell or do you truly believe he is the son of God first? The missing hell part is an added bonus per say after we accept Jesus as our personal savior into our heart and mind and life. Then we repent and confess our sins, change and turn from our old sinful ways and truly believe Jesus is the son of God, born of a virgin, died on the cross, arose on the 3rd day and is now seated to the right side of God

I often wonder what motivates folks to believe in Jesus. Some pastors use scare tactics, constantly preaching on hell and you are going there if you don’t believe in him. Members then say they believe in Jesus because they want to miss hell but they never take the time to truly have a personal relationship with him and to learn all about him. Believing is having faith in something you cant see, feel or touch. If you take the time to believe then go deeper and study the bible and read about Jesus that saved you.

It’s not all about what he can do for us but what we can do for him. Walking in faith pleases him and in doing so he gives you awesome peace even in times of trouble when we do not know what is around the corner. It’s the kind of feeling you can’t get from booze or drugs. Trust me, I tried.

I have found that joy and when we find something that makes us happy, we want to tell others.

God bless you and may something I have said touch your heart.

"Power Walk" Or "Godly Walk".

Working on getting to know more of what God expects of me and what worship is all about. Its all about the lord and no one else. There is such a thing as a damaged soul from negative Christians. I never thought I would have thought it, but its real, I lived it.

Negativity in the church is real, brain washing is real too. I was told that everything a christian says and does has to be back up with scripture. Well, people can take scripture out of context and twist it to their own advantage so backing it up for me did not always help my situation.  People spouting GOD with the same mouth they use to spout their hatred is what I have experienced.  No wonder I ran from Christianity for many years.

I have found a church that praises GOD and does not  care what you look like or wear.  They are there to praise the lord and have fellowship. If you want to come to church in a dress or pants or a suit and tie or jeans and a T-shirt...  Hubby and I hope to visit that church when I am able to walk again but for now we watch in on TV.  www.transformingtruth.org has help us greatly overcome.

Praising God is just that.......Praising HIM.

So far so good.... knock on my wooden head...

Sitting at the kitchen table with my coffee and watching the parrots enjoy their breakfast I am thankful the sun is up and its bright outside. Its the little things now that mean so much to me, sunshine, blue sky, some robins in the yard........yep...spring is just around the corner.

So far so good....... breathing a bit more normal...

The only single plate left has not cracked. Still a bit cool to the touch,
so that means its still drying but I can handle it now....I hope me handling it for
these phots will not cause it to crack...
Will wait to fully dry till I can start cleaning it up.

The 2 bases for the cake plates turned out. The tall one still needs cleaning up and shaping, I will do that this weekend while hubby is out teaching a class.
I will try and make another plate only a bit smaller for the shorter base.
I think the large plate just swallows it right up.

The larger plate is better on the tall pedestal stand.

The bases and plate have been imprinted with lace that I have cut up and pressed into the moist clay. Once they are fully dry I can smooth out all the rough sharp edges. This was an old lace valance I picked up in a antique store. It had seen better days and was not very costly. Had no idea what I was going to do with it when I got it several years ago but knew it had potential.

<*>< Like the broken plates that I experienced....  I took the broken pieces, I wrapped them up in a wet towel and overnight the clay returned back to moist form so I can work with the clay again. The LORD picks up our broken heart and lives and renews our spirit with his words and we become something new from something broken. ><*>

God bless your day with his peace and grace.

Heaven, The Perfect Day......

I love this site, it has helped me so much. (Click>) Transforming Truth   There are so many messages here to help you in whatever you are going through. Life is difficult, I know!

These messages will help you. Please scan over them and play them right on your computer, nothing to download. You just click on the message you want to hear and there it is coming from your computer. I do not have an Ipod or I would download some to listen during the day.

This one in particular got me to thinking and I thought it may help you...

The Perfect Day! are you ready?

When you click on the Transforming Truth link above. You will see the website and on the screen off to the left you will see something like the photo below ( I have highlighted in red). See the "Playlist" section...using the down arrow...  Scan down, Its just a short scan to the message "The Perfect Day". Then off to the right on that same line where you see the title you will see an icon, click on it and you can here this message from your computer. The date of the sermon is 1/2/2011

Do you know someone that is an unbeliever?

There is coming a day when we leave this earth, where will you be going?. This message speaks of heaven.

I had to do some soul searching after hearing this message and asking myself am I doing enough here on this earth to get the message out about our lord and to get folks thinking where we will go when we die.

The wonderful thing is we all have a choice. YOU can choose not to believe and we as believers will pray that one day you will believe. Praying that something we/I have said or posted will come to your mind and you will remember what you read and call out to the lord.  I will however hurt for you knowing what will happen when you die without knowing the lord. But knowing I am doing my part to get the word out as much as I can from my computer.

What do you lose by believing? What do you gain?

Please listen to the message on there. It will get you thinking.

No, we don't have all the answerers, we are living by faith from what we read. Faith is so difficult at times as there is nothing to touch or see... But the rewards living on faith are so great and we that do are blessed with spiritual grace that will see us through this difficult life. Trials will come, no doubt about it but with faith in what we hear and read in the scriptures we find the lords "GRACE" and feel his comfort while we are in the tough times.

HAPPY NEW YEAR~~~ Y'all.....

Boy, you can tell when you are getting older, one cant stay awake long enough to see a new year come in. I did wake up when fireworks went off from the house across the street. I got up to checked on the parrots, the noise always upsets them. They were troubled so I talked to them till the fireworks stopped then we all drifted back to sleep. We are such party animals....... yalza.

I pray for those that are hurting in all aspects of life and pray that you get to know the one person that can help you and will walk with keeping your head up during the storm. "Jesus" is his name and he wants to get to know you and for you to know him.

What do you have to lose? HUM???? Many folks say they have to give up so much of their ways to walk with Jesus. When you come to know him, you find you don't have a desire to live your old ways so you are not giving up anything. YOU gain so much more, an inner peace where nothing on this earth can do that for you. Some say there is no hell, what if there is? Do you want to really find out when its too late?

Living a Christian life is not easy, well heck, living life is not easy "PERIOD"!!! There will be hard times even if you don't believe but for those that do, he promises he will be with us and give us a peace that passes all understanding. I found that peace in my darkness, you can too.

My prayer is that you don't let another day go by to get to know our savior "Jesus"...God's Son! He died for you that you may have eternal life.

WELL~ I am off to go cook the traditional dinner for hubby's, sauerkraut, pork roast and mash potatoes, he is from the north, that is what they have. We from the south have black eye peas, collards and pork. I am not much on either tradition. I will open a can of black eye peas I found in the cabinet, eat some spinach instead of collards and try to stomach the pork roast. THEN "REJOICE" that is all over till next year.

If it were up to me, I would have chocolate and lots of it..... YEP~

HUGS and much LOVE in Christ~

Peace Be With You This Christmas Day

Wishing you peace this Christmas day and may the lord bless and keep you all safe.
Lets keep him in our hearts and lives all through the coming year.

Had a very quiet day with hubby. The gang was with other family so it was just us and the parrots. While eating dinner late this afternoon it started to snow and stick.... WOW! A white Christmas... We are to get 1-2 inches, I hope I wake up in the morning and we have more than expected.

I wish you all a blessed and safe evening.

Merry CHRISTmas.
