"Frozen Green Beans With Garden Fresh Flavor"..... I could eat the whole pan... (Follow-up... I did.)

These frozen long green beans came from one of the large warehouse stores. I have never had this brand but .... MY GOODNESS! they are awesome. They have that fresh garden flavor that you get when you grow your own. The beans within the green pod....they just explode with flavor.... WOW..

They are by Bybee Foods.

I thawed out a few slices of the colorful peppers that I blanched a week or so back and put in the freezer. Cut up a few spring onions.

Out came the sauté  pan, added a bit of olive oil and in went all the ingredients. Sautéed the beans for a few minutes to sweat them.

Added a dash of salt and pepper, turn off the heat, put the lid on to steam them just for a few minutes till slight tender. I could eat this whole pan for dinner.

I am cooking a roast with a few new potatoes to go along with this side dish. That is if there is any left, I cant keep my fingers out of the pan.

Follow-up!  Its after 9:00PM, my poor hubby was lucky to get 10 beans. I put them in a bowl and was waiting for him to come and eat. I started munching and could not stop, then I realized I had eaten almost all of them. Boy, will have to cook some more tomorrow. The bag came from Costco's

Guys, they are so good. I cant wait to grow my own but in the meantime, these are a close second.

Tammy,

I remember when I was growing up my mom had a garden and planted green beans. I use to go into the back yard and pick the beans off the vine and snap the ends and eat them raw...I loved them and the ones you have look very tasty. I think I would ahve been like you and eaten the entire pan. They are good for you, right?

A beautiful, delicious and healthy munchie. You should have just eaten the last ten, washed the bowl and looked innocent!!

You asked about eggplant. I haven't run into any nice one's lately but when I do, I'll work on a favorite dish of ours.

Best,
Bonnie

Looks positively delicious. I am going to make your recipe tonight. This week our local grocery store is featuring fresh green beans on sale, my favourite, so I bought a large bag. Thanks for posting your recipe!

YUM! Oh my! Can I eat at your house??? :) looks so good. I could eat tons of veggies, my hubs looks at me funny because sometimes that's what I'm. In the mood to snack on. Although, honestly, I have a wicked sweet tooth, too!
