Too dry, need loads of milk to wash this down.
Birthday party...
Fabric covered decorative gift boxes, you can use any shape box templates you like.
Great for wedding favors, baby showers, gifts in general. Add the gift inside the box, its like 2 gifts in one and they make a cute display. (see end of post on how-too)
For now, enjoy the eye candy and inspirational ideas.

Some Where Over The Rainbow
Note: You can do an "Image" search on the web for templates, there are loads of them for free or create your own. I got a package of templates from Oriental Trading. For the larger cake slice, I made my own template.
You will need:
Box templates
Cardstock cardboard
Glue sticks
Fabric
Trim/ribbon
Spray Starch
A piece of plastic ( credit card will do) or a ruler.
Iron
Scissors (not your good ones)
I ironed and spray-starched all the fabric scraps. On the back side of the cardstock cardboard, I traced my template then flipped the cardstock over and put glue on the front. Lay the fabric (right side up) onto the glued cardstock and press with a flat piece of plastic...those old credit cards work very well or the plastic ruler. Wait about an hour for the box to dry some. I have an assembly line going so by the time I get 10 templates covered I can go back to the first one and cut out the box and assemble it. Let the box dry over night, then have fun decorating them.
On some boxes for those very special gifts I covered the inside of the box with fabric as well. This makes for a very sturdy box.
Hope you got some inspiration to create some yourself. If you don't want to cover the box with fabric, you can use already printed cardstock. There are some cute printed patterns out there.

Thank you for sharing this my friend. There are all just BEAUTIFUL!!!
I am going to have to try to create some.
Blessings,
Bren
Bravo! I love the boxes. I am such a klutz when it comes to doing something like this. In fact, my dear friend who is an artist like you always brings along a kraft. Last year she came to show me how to make boxes. I was so bad that I got her confused. Let's just say that when she mentions "boxes", I get out my garlic and hang it around my neck!!!!!
I love seeing what you're doing!!
Best,
Bonnie
Love the boxes! So cute. Carla
How cute are those! You are so smart and creative!
I really love the little boxes!!!! They are just too cute! I must tell you that there is a spray glue out there. Can't remember the name, but it is in a black can, that I know. I've used sooooo much of this glue and it is the best, especially for large projects. I think your wedding one and the victorian one are just priceless!!!!!!! I've made envelopes this way, but not boxes!!! Do I see a new project on the horizon?
Very creative! And cool too!!!
Tammy,
I am in awe...those are absolutely lovely! I mean that big time...you are very talented my friend. I just love them!
I'm kind of bumming out because my scrapbooking place is in total disarray because we are having the closets moved to make space for an actual 'scrapbooking' area...but I feel like I don't have anything to do...I don't like this feeling of not being able to create so perhaps I could make your lovely gems...
These are soooo cute! What a lovely job you did on them. You have one for anything you need a gift for! good job.
Wow! I love them, Tammy! My favorite has to be the red polka dot ones.. but they are all so gorgeous!
You're so creative and clever.... I love all the boxes....
Our granddaughter is getting married, I'll share this with her...
Thanks!
These boxes are just so cute...especially like the wedding one. Tammy is there anything that you can't do? Ha!
