He Walks On Butter

"He Walks On Butter"

(click on photos to enlarge)

 My lilies in the front of the house are blooming a rich buttery yellow.

For 3 weeks now, to my delight I have a daily visiting "Katydid".
Each morning or shall I say, all throughout the day I venture out to see how he is doing.

This past weekend he vanished, my heart sank for I feared the worst;
 but to my delight yesterday (Tuesday), he is back.

 I was out this AM having coffee with him.
He has become quite the listener and no longer runs behind a petal when I approach.

I am careful not to overstay my welcome so I left him in peace.

GOD sure does bless in many ways and some gifts are as simple as flowers and bugs.

he is adorable and even looks good UP CLOSE.. maybe it is a she? as in KATY? the color of the flowers is perfect and so much like butter... mother wanted her kitchen butter yellow and ended up with neon. this is the color she loved.

These little bugs are so cute! I often photograph them by accident. What a neat little blessing on your lily. Your photos of him are superb!

Often it's the smallest things that can give joy as you well know, Tammy. Many folks would overlook insects, but some can be quite interesting, colorful, and patient photo subjects as with this katydid. Glad the yellow lilies have provided both of you with joy. Hope we chat soon, my friend.

Insects have the most amazing colors when one can see them up close. Glad you had a visitor.

This post and photos made me smile. I got caught up and read your other posts and oohed and awed over your photos. You should make your photos into a coffee table book..........I would look at it for hours!
