The Woodlands Of Stone Mountain.

I have been blessed in many ways, I know the Lord and he knows me, I have a wonderful hubby, close connection with my dear brother and super friends that are located here locally and in other states. Not the least of these are the friendships I have with my fellow bloggers.

I had the pleasure to meet up with Charlotte of  "Butterbean Row" today. We met last week and hit it off so we planned another meet up.  She is an extremely talented lady and gifted with the lens and other God given talents. Please look in on her blog, you will come away with a smile on your face and a glad heart.

We had a quick bite here at the house then it was off to Stone Mountain Park. I daresay we did not get to see much of the park this visit. The plan was to see the covered bridge and visit with the woodland creatures by the lake, then jot over to the Gris Mill. We were so infatuated with the woodland creatures we stayed. We could have not ask for a more delightful day, the weather was not bad at all. Thanks to Charlotte's quick thinking, she brought cool wraps that we tied around our necks that kept us comfortable. There was a gentle breeze coming off the lake and we were sitting in the shade under a canopy of trees by the waters edge.

I brought a bag of Cheerios but the woodland creatures were more interested in Charlotte's goodies.

This is my friend Mr. Blackbird, I met with him a few weeks ago and I wanted Charlotte to meet him too.
He is swift and shy but I did manage to capture some pictures.

If you don't mind, I will let Mr. Blackbird show you around, after all, it's his home.

We have....

A lovely place to live...

There are ducks in the lake...
Turtles and fish...

Shy friends that prefer to keep watch from the trees...

Some are fearless and love showing off their plumage.

Well folks...

A good day was had by all...

GOD bless you and keep you all safe.

The turtle about to gulp two cheerios is a great capture!
