I make a season rub of dried garlic granules, some awesome paprika, a dash or pinch of fresh grated nutmeg and a pinch of salt. The season rub is about a Tablespoon when combined. Sprinkle/rub on the salmon, wrap in plastic wrap, let it marinate in the frig over night. Place in the oven on 375 with a drizzle of olive oil and bake to your liking. Sprinkle some dill over it and drizzle the pan juices over the salmon. I know my tummy is happy.

Yum! Here's my seafood "smell" story. A few weeks ago, it was my turn to host my Muse book group. The house was neat and tidy. The table nicely set. The food prepared. The Baker was making his own dinner and planned to disappear upstairs (husbands not invited). What did he throw into a hot pan? A salmon burger!! The whole house reeked of seafood!!!!! Aargh!!

I love to bake salmon or tilapia in the oven, but you're right- it sure does stink up a place for a while! :)
Fortunately for me, hubby doesn't mind... and Lily walks around with her nose in the air trying to catch every whiff she can. *haha*

Looks YUMMY ! We get a lot of fresh cod , trout and pearch here as we live near a fishing town off of lake Erie in Ontario and a friend of ours is a fantastic fisherman and is a master at preparing them ! Have a great day !

That looks marvelous sweetie. We eat salmon often here on the Ponderosa. My fave is to use blackin' seasoning on it and grill it in the George Forman served with Cajun pasta and garlic toast.

I have a neighbor that is a wonderful cook. He knows I do very little anymore, so he brings leftovers to me. I told him he should have been a chief. He cooks the healthy way. One day last week, he brought a big plate and the meat was wonderfully prepared salmon. His wife does not cook either as he enjoys it so much.

Looks wonderful! Years ago, some folks stopped by my husbands shop to have their car worked on. They gave him canned smoked Salmon that they had just processed from their trip to Alaska. It was the most wonderful tasting salmon ever.
