"White Caviar"

As I was taking pictures, the flower was opening up exposing
the center and I was in awe of its beauty.

Look a the center and the white petals with the morning sun illuminating them.
I was drooling while taking these photos and so happy, my eyelids curled.
"White Caviar"

God's blessing to you this day, may he lift your spirits with his small blessings.

I am the same way as you, I really think we have both retained that childlike sense of wonder, maybe that is part about what Jesus was talking about. We can be childlike without being childish. The is AWESOME! I have seen white ones, but they always have a colored center. The last macro is totally cool, I took one like that but it didn't turn out anything like this because the hibiscus was past it's prime. This is just a new one. Your last shot gives me goosebumps! If we lived nearby, we would both be running around squealing at nature like little kids!

Tammy,
this is a beautiful post! God has given you some pretty surprises and you sure captured them well!
That is a white Rose of Sharon. Jim planted one at our church last spring and it has been struggling in the heat. Yours looks very happy. I LOVE the white "caviar" shot!
BTW, I love your avatar...I see you now and your new header.
Have a wonderful blessed weekend!

I agree with your statement, "Just stick me outside with God's creations and let me soak it all in." And with a camera is even better!

Tammy, these pictures are just beautiful!!! I was thinking candy, not caviar!!!!! Looks like sticky, sweet candy to me.

I'm like you, Tammy. Doesn't take much to impress me or make me happy. I love the woods, wild flowers, bird feeders, squirrels --- all free, all beautiful, ever changing, and it makes me smile. Walks in the rain??? --- my favorite thing ever!!!!

Keep your feeder fresh with nectar because our Hummers are on their way to you!
I saw the last one in our area yesterday evening and our local bird watching group also report that this week most of them left. Sigh.

The center is lovely of the white Hibiscus! Does it make yellow pollen?? And it does look like white caviar pulled in so closely!! Anazing what you can do with your new lens!
You've opened a whole new world.

Ok! I'm back from vacation and I will begin to seriously consider my need for this camera! I could have used it on vacation, but better late than never. I have a purple rose of Sharon, and I have to pull those things up all over to keep from having a forrest of them. I'm not sure how the get around so good, I can't imagine the birds would eat the hard pods that contain the seeds. But it happens! :D

I have never seen a white rose of sharon! Mine are pretty pitiful with the weather here in Texas. You close up are just amazing! It is a treat to be able to see God's gifts thru your lens!
