Saturday I played with the camera a bit and took some photos of 2 vintage dresses that belonged to my MIL. Amazing detail of these children dresses and how they have held up all these years. I did try and clean them, the smaller dress has a large rust stain near the hem that did not come out in hand washing. Will try to locate some special soap and see if I can get the stain out.
Here in this photo the wind created a perfect shot, it came up right
behind the dresses. I played around with the photo editing software.
I found this doll among her belonging.
The shoes and dress are what she is wearing
in the photo below.
Here is a photo of her wearing the smaller dress. I have yet to take the
framed picture apart with her wearing the larger dress.
Cant get a good shot through the glass.
The shoes she was wearing with the dresses.

TAMMY!! Missed you!!
Love the dresses and shoes and play toys!! You did an awesome job with your photo editing and presenting the dresses. Especailly the one with the wind blowing!!
Glad you're back! Thoughts are with you!
Oh, these dresses are simply gorgeous! You are so fortunate to have them and what a treasure they are since they belonged to your MIL! You did a great job of photographing them too. I especially love the sepia one! I have one of my baby dresses. I am so afraid to wash it as it is so old, but I would love to.
Oh, Tammy! I adore these dresses and the photos, and how wonderful that you have the shoes, dresses, and photos of your MIL!!! What treasures!
I wish that children were still dressed in such lovely clothes. I'm not much on the current styles of fashion. I'd like to fast forward back to prettier clothes. I could get stuck in the Eighties! LOL!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Hey Miss Tammy! So glad to see you post again, I've missed you.
LOVE LOVE LOVE those little dresses~ they are so delicate and pretty. And the shoes are just too cute for words!
Hope you are staying safe today, dear friend... according to the weather reports we are in for a rough ride this evening, I'm afraid..
Treasures all--sweet dresses, sweet baby and sweet memories!
I've been a little behind on my blog comments as I've been really busy with library things. Should be a break soon.
Hope all is well.
Best,
Bonnie
what sweet pictures! It is amazing that you have the picture, shoes, dresses and toys all together. What a keepsake!
Love the effects on the pictures!
These are the sweetest little dresses.... aren't you blessed to have them..... your photography is outstanding!!
Just beautiful!
I just love little dresses like these. And the shoes ---- just perfect! I was in a shop one time and asked to use the ladies room. When I went in there, there was a clothesline across the window with all these little dresses, socks, etc., hanging like a curtain. It was the best thing I ever saw!!!!!
Those dresses, shoes, and the photo is so sweet. What a wonderful treasure and keepsake you have. I think several of your photos could be made into greeting cards. Glad you are safe from all the destruction that went through your part of the country.
Tammy,
these dresses and shoes are treasures! And how fortunate that you have a picture of your MIL wearing them.
Try lemon juice on that rust stain and put in the sunshine.

Gorgeous photos and memories. The dresses look so white and pristine even now. I presume they were entirely hand stitched.
My mother kept the dress my baby photos were taken in and I'm pleased she did. I have also kept a select few of my children's clothes, especially the dresses I hand smocked. I hope they are treasured in years ahead.
