Saturday I spent most of the day out in the yard taking photos of this tiny blue flower before the lawn guy came.
I kept humming the tune from Hans Christian Anderson' movie, "Thumbelina". I was amazed at all the detail this small weed had. I had the close up lens on the camera it still did not capture all its charming detail.
Even with the grass so tall and thick, this tiny weed pushes its way upward to greet the sunshine. Kinda' like us I think... Look at all we can accomplish if we keep the lord in our life, we will stand out among the rubble. Jesus is our sunshine.
Here I cut some to bring in to sit on the window ledge over the kitchen sink.
Here the tiny flowers are buried among the grass but they stand out.
Can you imagine if that flower is that tiny, just look how tiny this bug is.
I think its a gnat? Cant be a bee that small.
Look at this sweet flower face, eyes and long nose.
All the pollen just ready to fly off.
Looks like dark blue hearts.

I love these. I just noticed some in our yard today. :)
You have taken some amazing photos! I do not take the time to really look at something so small. We are so small in God's universe, yet he knows even the very number of hairs on our heads. Amazing. I'm glad that you had a camera that would do that. My hands are no longer steady, so I couldn't do it even if I had such a camera. So I am really glad you shared this with us. Thanks for the wonderful post of such fabulous flowers!
Beautiful--every detail! It deserves a frame. I like the shape of the leaf too and the tender green color.
I'm starting to feel human again. Oliver has been my steady companion. Now if I could remember what day it is, I'd be in good shape.
Best,
Bonnie
Fabulous photos!
Beautiful little flower, your close ups are awesome ! !
Tammy, these are just stunning!!! I had no idea you were such a professional photographer!!! I feel like Thumbelina!!!!! That buggy does look like a bee, doesn't it? I'm so glad I'm not the only one who finds beauty in weeds!!! By the way, what's the difference between a weed and a wildflower? Is it called a "weed" when we don't want it around???
Amazing photos, Tammy! You are a gifted photographer. Thanks for these beautiful reminders of Spring.

These are so pretty! I live in west Texas and I have not seen these in the prairie! Wish there were, however! blessings,Kathleen

Beautiful! With the shot of the flower and the bee, I was struck with the truth of God's design. As if that ol' bee evolved! Hog wash!
Holy Cow! What kind of camera is that? You are incredible...fabulous pictures all around!!!
