Hummingbirds....He's Here...

I put the hummingbird feeders out in hopes of seeing one of my sweet babies. I have kept watch since Thursday, I moved the feeders around the yard hoping they would spot them. Finally on Sunday, I saw one... I was so excited my eyelid curled backwards from the very wide grin I had on my face. Its only been 2 days but "First Come, First Serve"... This Red Barron has set up shop in the yard and has laid claim to the feeders. That was fast work on his part, he is defending the feeders in lightening speed.

Lucky, lucky, you! I can't wait until the Hummers arrive here.
We've never had 2 at a time on the feeder either even though several are waiting in the branches nearby for their turn.
Your photos are excellent and love your pet name 'Buzz-butt' LOL!

Beautiful pics! I spotted a hummer on Sat., and rushed to fill up my feeder.
I didn't know they were territorial. I guess that explains why one certain bird kept running off the others last year.
Maybe I need 2 feeders.

Tammy,
You are amazing! The photos are so lovely! you know, I think the hummingbird is one of my favorite birds; elusive, cautious and beautiful! I know they think your house is special if they are already there.
I hope to my feeder out soon but nights are still a bit of a chill so perhaps in May?
I think of you often and hope to get an e-mail off to you soon...
hugs...

Gorgeous! Tammy, you always have the best posts.

I went on a bit of ramble on my reply in the last one, but it's just because I love so many things about the Lord.

Love you, too.

Keeping this shorter. LOL!

XO,

Sheila :-)

That is one charming hummingbird--worth waiting for. The photos are great. I saw a cardinal in one of our serviceberries but he hasn't been back. Usually, when we put the ferns on the porch, wrens build a nest. So far, it's too cold.

Best,
Bonnie

Our Hummers - first one then 4 total - came on the 14th of April. He buzzed in front of the window so I'd know he was here and to make the nectar and get it out -- QUICK! They are soooooooo cute!
